Game scores don’t necessarily paint an accurate picture. To me, it’s like facing a fog door in Dark Souls; you’re uncertain about what really lies beyond. There’s a somewhat silly saying in my country that every monster has an admirer. I adhere to a similar principle when it comes to games: you just have to uncover the aspects that make them engaging.
